Wheeled things I like.

I like things with wheels

I like to ride on or work on or build things with wheels, even things with tracks have wheels inside them, about anything that moves is fair game. I really like steam things as you may already have found out, but even things that are people powered are fun if you can ride them.

Recumbent Bikes

I like the idea of recumbent bikes. I found the exercise machines at the local gym, much easier to use, if I stick to the ones with the recumbent design. So I have reduced a couple bikes that were acquired on trash nite, to parts for the recumbent. Unfortunately I got broken just as I was about to get around to building the bike. So I have a box of weird looking parts, but the good thing is that I now have an outlet for my little project, and the required equipment to record it's progress. So I will now be able to bore you all to death with my little project.

My Uncle and Aunt, The Racing Rankins Paul and Barbara Rankin from Orlando, Florida, race a 1940 Mercury Coupe. This isn't so much for some, I mean lotsa people race, drag race, some even race the family car on weekends. But My Uncle Paul retired to Florida, quite a while ago, about 20 years, I think. So his racing is an accomplishment simply because he is currently 73 years young, and races a Ford 5.0 liter powered 1940 Mercury called the LEFTOVEROD. And in addition to that little bit of trivia, they are a great couple. I seriously doubt you could find two people that get along better or have more fun together than these two. But it is well said here, LINK, so download it and enjoy!

Ryans Racing My Grandson, Ryan, who is at this point 11 years old, had couple great years of racing go karts, flat karts actually, with the standard 5 HP Briggs engine. I got pretty good at building them, just before there was a reassignment of priorities, not really my choice, a complication of falling through a hole in a burning house. And of course the little woman decided the approximately $5000.00 it was costing wasn't really in the moving budget, and it is my intention to move. Though I would rather it had been my decision. The Next Project after The VWI have a real problem with deciding what to do next. I am interested in machines, steam, and putting motors and engines on anything with wheels. Consequently I found this site and well, I think this might be a quick project with an almost instant payoff. A parade car that we can get out, in front of people and maybe get a sponsor for the other racing operations we want to pursue, but I'm still working on the VW and trying to move. Anybody got an old homestead in Southern Ohio they'd like to get rid of? South of 70, and East of Columbus. 20plus acres and no zoning. An old house, livable or not, would be nice but not necessary. Anyway enjoy this LINK and keep me in mind.
