Above is the 1972 Boise Cascade Leisure Lodge, my first motorhome. It was a total disaster when I got it, but after only one summer of every spare moment and an obscene amount of money it is a rather dependable machine. Of course as soon as I fixed everything up I slid sideways and broke the rear out of the holding tank, so the refurbishing of the bathroom was left undone. And yet it served it's purpose as a towing vehicle, and kids refuge, for four years of go karting events quite handily. Attached is the first trailer we used for the karts, we subsequently bought a used 16 ft twin axle trailer and have carried the karts in it, for the last two years. Though not pretty, this old workhorse is on a Chevy C30 Chassis and has a stock 350 engine so the parts are cheap and readily accessable, The radiator and Tranny are rebuilt and everything on the engine that bolts on is new, except the carb which I rebuilt, I added a tranny cooler, a reese style hitch receiver and rewired everything that didn't work, and the entire front end is new. It is a tremendous little tow vehicle as it is only 20 Feet long and turns real nice. The only downside is the 10 miles to the gallon it has probably always gotten, and the split rim wheels. Fortunately I am used to working on split rims and only intensely fearful when refilling the tire after repairing a flat.
