Little Bunny Foo Foo
Page Two of the Garage Gnome Chronicals
Sometimes we hear things as children that we laugh at because we don't know what it really means, This is excusable, it's just another example of allowing ignorance to pass, where we would expect more of people with a fully developed brain.

Little Bunny Foo Foo was actually a gnome named 'Lyle (Buddy) Twofew, because he was missing two toes on each foot' who today would be known as a wife beater, (spousal abuser). I guess the part about bopping the field mice on the head, is fairly accurate. And as you may recall, the Gnomes carouse with the little woodland creatures, field mice fit this category. I'm still investigating the rest of the story, stay tuned for updates.....

Harold Twophue a gnome of particularly small stature, even among Gnomes, was probably the most famous Gnome to come to the knowledge of the general public. Of course you know of him too, you just don't recognize his given name. Harold was one of the few gnomes with a definable birth defect. Harold had only 6 toes, normal, (and it is a stretch to apply the term normal to Gnomes) Gnomes have 8 toes. Now it wouldn't be apparent in some societies, it wouldn't be an issue, but gnomes are often barefoot, the little "turned up toe" shoes being more of a ceremonial nature, and heavy leather boots being the chosen footwear for in-climate weather. So with his oddity so obviously exposed, ridicule was obviously the next to follow, I'm not sure I mentioned it before but the garage gnomes are an ancient race, actually they didn't begin in garages, they have adapted as time has progressed, actually they are the descendants of the dwarves and gnomes of legend. Many stories of the gnomes and fairies of the past are really based on the activities of the garage gnomes ancestors. The gnomes of old were generally forest creatures and had established trees and caves and rock piles where they were happy inhabitants, and only rarely ventured near the hovels of men. But as mankind, and they never refer to us as 'kind' in any manner, began to spread out and use the forests and wild lands for farming and warring and spread the cities out into them, they were displaced and had to abandon their ancestral homes and adapt to the hidden areas available.

But now back to Harold, or Buddy as he was known, Little Buddy Twophue, which was ultimately twisted in the retelling to Little Bunny FooFoo who was known for hopping through the forest, picking up the field mice and bop them on the head. Actually, as we will discover, he was really a renowned wife beater. So whenever he was seen walking though the forest, he was generally looking for a new spouse. And his ways of courtship left quite a bit to be desired. Thats why the GOOD FAIRY gave him multiple warnings, and then lowered the boom on him!

I have recently discovered the Garage Gnomes have been intermarrying with the little animals their size for generations, and have been able to maintain their Gnomish heritage and yet have incorporated some creature features they have been able to expand upon. Upon further questioning and attempts to get a straight answer I have concluded, though they have that little twinkle in their multicolored eyes when they answer, there are no female Garage Gnomes! This is not the end of this inquiry, though at present no further explanation is available, further research will follow.
